AdBlue®

AdBlue® helps vehicles meet strict emission standards, especially Euro 6 standards for reducing NOx emissions.
What is AdBlue®?

The Euro4, Euro5 and Euro6 standards in the truck segment have required truck, passenger car and van manufacturers to implement SCR catalytic converters in combination with AdBlue® fluid. SCR technology is currently the only commercially accepted solution that simultaneously reduces the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) emitted and reduces fuel consumption, and indirectly the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted. Car manufacturers are facing a similar challenge today. All new diesel vehicles in the EU must meet Euro6 exhaust emission standards from September 2015.
Do you need AdBlue®?

AdBlue® is an aqueous solution of urea, i.e. Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) liquid for reducing the emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx), which is used by all diesel motor vehicles equipped with an SCR catalyst.
Our AdBlue® consists of high purity urea dissolved and suspended in deionized water. According to the ISO 22241 standard, the mixture ratio must be 32.5% urea and 67.5% deionized water. This concentration was chosen for the reason that in this ratio urea crystallizes (freezes) only at a temperature of -11°C.
More about AdBlue®

AdBlue® is a registered trademark of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), which licenses its production worldwide. AdBlue® is stored in an auxiliary tank separate from the diesel fuel tank.
The biggest misconception is that AdBlue® is a diesel fuel additive. AdBlue® is not a fuel additive and if you pour it into the fuel tank, you can cause serious damage to some engine components.
